CVE-2019-15012Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via edit-file arbitrary write

Published Jan 15, 2020 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Arbitrary file write in Atlassian Bitbucket Server and Data Center allows remote authenticated users to write files on the server. The edit-file endpoint accepts a destination outside the repository and writes it with the filesystem permissions of the Bitbucket process. Repository write permission is required, and code execution occurs when an attacker-chosen writable destination is loaded or executed by the server.
