Reflected XSS via unsanitized fatal error messages
Published Mar 18, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Reflected XSS in Moodle LMS 3.5.8 and earlier, 3.6.6 and earlier, and 3.7.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script. Fatal error-message rendering on some pages fails to sanitize attacker-controlled text before inserting it into HTML responses. A victim must open a crafted request; the script executes in the Moodle origin and can read or alter data available to that browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
