User-context script execution via crafted email parsing
Published Jan 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Microsoft Outlook for Android before 4.0.65 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via a crafted email. The message parser insufficiently validates attacker-controlled email content, allowing active content to run in the current user's security context. The recipient must open the message; successful execution can read or alter data available to the Outlook user.
