Full device control via exposed serial connector

Hardware debug interface exposure in Ricoh SP C250DN 1.06 allows physically proximate attackers to gain full control of the device. The exposed hardware serial connector opens a shell that reads and writes RAM and invokes functions at attacker-selected memory addresses. Physical access to the printer is required, after which the interface permits sensitive-data retrieval, settings changes, arbitrary code execution, or device disablement.
