Memory corruption via malformed NAN information element

A buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN firmware allows attackers to corrupt memory via nonstandard NAN IE messages. The closed-source WLAN parser performs an integer-overflowing operation while parsing a nonstandard Neighbor Awareness Networking information element, leading to an out-of-bounds buffer operation. Qualcomm has not published how an attacker reaches the parser or whether the corruption enables code execution or only a service crash.
