Memory corruption via malformed WLAN measurement requests
Published Apr 16, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN firmware allows remote attackers to corrupt memory with malformed radio-measurement requests. The station's WLAN radio-measurement handler improperly validates an array index while processing multiple invalid RRM requests from an access point, causing a write beyond the destination buffer. Exploitation requires a malicious or impersonated access point within wireless range; Qualcomm has not disclosed whether the corruption causes a crash or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
