CVE-2019-14114Network attack vector

Remote memory corruption via oversized GTK key

Published Apr 16, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN firmware on listed chipsets allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via an oversized GTK key. The GTK IE parser accepts a key length larger than its destination buffer, with an integer overflow leading to an out-of-bounds firmware write. No authentication or user interaction is required; crafted wireless input can compromise the device through its WLAN subsystem.
