CVE-2019-14098Network attack vector

Remote memory corruption via unchecked keydata copy

Published Mar 5, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN firmware allows remote attackers to corrupt memory through crafted keydata. The data offload handler copies attacker-controlled keydata without checking its length against the destination buffer. Network reachability to the WLAN input requires no authentication or user interaction; Qualcomm has not disclosed whether corruption causes a crash or code execution.
