Out-of-bounds memory access via unchecked QPay length
Published Jun 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Out-of-bounds memory access in Qualcomm Snapdragon QPay allows local users to access TrustZone memory via a crafted response buffer. The TrustZone application processes a user-provided response buffer without validating its length, allowing processing to cross the allocated boundary. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access to an affected chipset; public records do not identify the out-of-bounds operation as a read or write.
