Local memory corruption via unchecked array index
Published Jan 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Improper array-index validation in Qualcomm WLAN Host firmware allows local users to corrupt memory during error processing. The error-processing path uses an array-index value without adequate bounds validation, allowing a buffer overflow in affected chipset firmware. Local low-privileged access is required; Qualcomm has not specified whether the corruption causes a crash or code execution.
