Service interruption via repeated same-address buffer mapping
Published Jan 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Improper input validation in Qualcomm Snapdragon audio firmware allows remote attackers to force an affected device into an error state. The buffer-mapping path mishandles a second map request to the same physical address after an initial map-all operation fails. Exploitation requires that failed first operation and repeated address; the documented consequence is device unavailability, not data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
