Local information exposure via unchecked RX FIFO index
Published Mar 5, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Information exposure in Qualcomm IPC on affected Snapdragon chipsets allows local users to read data through shared-memory corruption. The IPC receive path trusts an RX FIFO write index from shared RAM without confirming that it is smaller than the FIFO, permitting an out-of-bounds write. Local access to an affected device is required; corruption can expose memory contents and can also compromise memory integrity or interrupt the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
