Stored script execution via unsanitized dashboard XML
Published Feb 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Stored XSS in Combodo iTop 2.6.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a dashboard viewer's browser via crafted XML. The dashboard builder renders fields such as icon from its XML definition without neutralizing executable markup. The payload executes when a user opens the affected dashboard, enabling browser-context data access and actions under that user's session.
