OS-level privilege escalation
Published Aug 25, 2023 · Updated May 2, 2025
Inappropriate OS implementation in Google Chrome on ChromeOS before 75.0.3770.80 allows remote attackers to gain OS-level privileges. Google has not published the affected OS routine or the incorrect operation it performs on the malicious file. Exploitation requires user interaction with that file and gives remote attackers control beyond the browser's normal privilege boundary.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
