Stack-based buffer overflow in AVEVA Plant SCADA's IEC870IP driver 4.14.02 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash the server. AVEVA has not disclosed which IEC 60870-5-104 message field or driver routine writes beyond the stack buffer. The protocol provides no authentication, so network access to the IEC870IP service is sufficient; reported impact is limited to a server crash.
