Remote CPU halt via crafted network packets

Improper input validation in GE Intelligent Platforms PACSystems RX3i firmware allows remote attackers to halt affected CPUs with crafted packets. The controller firmware improperly validates specially manipulated network packets, but CISA does not disclose the affected protocol, parser, or validation error. No authentication or user interaction is required; exploitation stops controller operation until an operator removes the battery or energy pack and reboots the CPU module.
