Local license-key disclosure via process list
Published Jun 18, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in CISOfy Lynis 2.0.0 through 2.7.5 allows local users to obtain the license key via the process list during data uploads. The include/data_upload routine passes the key as a cURL command parameter, exposing it to process-list readers while an upload runs. The key does not expose central-server data, but a local account can use it to upload falsified or additional scan data and consume upload resources.
