CVE-2019-13021Public exploit

Administrative credential disclosure via readable backup file

Published May 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Cleartext credential storage in all versions of Bond JetSelect allows local users to obtain administrative password hashes from a file. The 3passchange.sh installation script performs an in-place replacement that leaves the prior master-password hash in a readable sfc-general.properties.bak file. Any low-privilege system account with directory read access can obtain the hash, which the separately documented reversible encoding converts into an administrator password.
