Authentication bypass via SQL-injected token-file creation
Published Jul 16, 2019 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
SQL injection in Citrix SD-WAN before 10.2.3 allows remote attackers to create files via crafted package-file API requests. The getpackagefile.cgi script concatenates the JSON site_name value into SQL without validation, enabling token-file creation in /tmp and authentication bypass. Exploitation requires network access to the appliance management interface; file creation is limited to locations writable by mysql, and root command execution requires a separate chained flaw.
