Reverse tabnabbing in Simple Machines Forum before 2.0.16 allows remote attackers to disclose page content through crafted external links. External links opened with target="_blank" leave the originating page available to the linked page through the browser opener relationship, allowing replacement of the original page with attacker-controlled content. Exploitation requires a forum user to activate an external link, and the demonstrated consequence is deceptive page replacement or indirect disclosure rather than server-side code execution.
