CVE-2019-12425Network attack vector

Server identity manipulation via unchecked Host header

Published Apr 30, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Host header injection in Apache OFBiz 17.12.01 allows remote attackers to alter server host handling via crafted HTTP requests. The RequestHandler path trusted request.getServerName() without checking it against an allowed-host list, so attacker-controlled Host input became the server identity. No authentication is required; a remote request can make OFBiz accept an arbitrary hostname as authoritative for request processing.
