Unauthenticated file disclosure via unrestricted CMD_READ_FILE
Published Mar 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Incorrect access control in the administrative API of Safescan TimeMoto TM-616 and TA-8000 series allows remote attackers to read any file. The unauthenticated CMD_READ_FILE operation returns an attacker-supplied filesystem path without authorization or path restrictions. Network access to the API service is sufficient to retrieve configuration, credential, biometric, or other device files; no write or service-interruption impact is reported.
