CVE-2019-12180Public exploit

Code execution via auto-run project Groovy scripts

Published Feb 5, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Code injection in SmartBear ReadyAPI 2.8.2 through 3.0.0 and SoapUI 5.5 and earlier allows attackers to run Groovy code via a project file. The project loader automatically executes the con:afterLoadScript element on open, while the Save Script runs when the project is saved. Opening an attacker-supplied project is required, and injected Groovy executes with the application's user privileges.
