Cross-site scripting in Microsoft SharePoint Server allows remote authenticated users to run script in a victim's browser via a crafted request. The affected request-processing path fails to sanitize attacker-controlled request content before returning it in a page rendered by the victim. Exploitation requires a SharePoint account and victim interaction; successful script can read unauthorized content or perform SharePoint actions as the victim.
