Path manipulation in HPE SimpliVity OmniStack 3.7.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to create or delete arbitrary node files. Two deprecated management APIs accept attacker-supplied file paths and perform file operations as root without authentication. Reachability requires management-network access; creation or deletion of privileged files can compromise node integrity or interrupt service.
