Buffer overflow in Sierra Wireless ALEOS ACENet allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected AirLink gateways via network input. The vendor confirms an ACENet buffer overflow but has not published the affected function, input field, or unchecked copy operation. Affected branches end before 4.4.9, 4.9.5, and 4.14.0; ACENet is WAN-exposed by default before 4.9.0 and LAN-only by default thereafter.
