Man-in-the-middle root command execution via forged license response

OS command injection in ASUSTOR exFAT Driver 1.0.0.r20 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to execute commands as root. During online license validation, exfat.cgi and exfatctl accept a forged license_code value from the server response and pass it unsanitized to exec(). Exploitation requires intercepting the NAS license-validation traffic and grants command execution with the licensing application's root privileges.
