Service interruption via unbounded YAML alias expansion

Resource exhaustion in the Kubernetes API Server allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service by submitting crafted YAML. The kube-apiserver passes YAML to gopkg.in/yaml.v2, whose decoder expands nested aliases without a work bound and repeatedly decodes the referenced nodes. The request must pass API authorization; the resulting CPU exhaustion degrades API availability without reported data access or modification.
