Authenticated root command execution via crafted URL
Published Jan 17, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
OS command injection in Geutebruck G-Cam and G-Code 1.12.0.25 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The affected web interface passes attacker-controlled content from a specially crafted URL into an operating-system command without neutralizing command syntax; the public advisory does not identify the endpoint or parameter. An authenticated account and network access to the camera interface are required, after which injected commands run with root privileges.
