CVE-2019-10789Network attack vector

Remote command execution via unsanitized run argument

Published Feb 6, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Command injection in Hernan Garcia curling before 1.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via crafted command arguments. The run function concatenates its command parameter into a curl shell command passed to Node.js child_process.exec without sanitization, allowing shell metacharacters to alter execution. Any application that forwards attacker-controlled input to run exposes the process to command execution with the Node.js account's permissions.
