Arbitrary command execution via unsanitized common name

Command injection in Guy Bedford devcert-sanscache before 0.4.7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands through a common name. The generateDevCert function accepts commonName under a match pattern that permits shell metacharacters, then passes it into OpenSSL command strings executed by child_process.execSync. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled certificate names to the library; successful injection runs commands with that application's privileges.
