CVE-2019-10577Network attack vector

Denial of service via SIP URI over-read

Published Mar 5, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Buffer over-read in Qualcomm Snapdragon Data Modem chipsets allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted SIP URI. The modem's SIP URI processing accepts improperly validated network input and reads beyond the intended buffer boundary. No authentication or user interaction is required; a network-delivered SIP URI can interrupt modem service, while code execution is not reported.
