CVE-2019-10575

Local code execution via unauthorized WLAN firmware

Published Apr 16, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper signature verification in Qualcomm Snapdragon SDA845, SDM845, and SDM850 allows local users to run unauthorized WLAN firmware. The secure device accepts and runs a WLAN binary whose signature does not chain to the OEM root of trust, rather than rejecting authentication. Low-privileged local access is required; successful exploitation replaces trusted wireless code and compromises device confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
