Memory disclosure via unchecked HLOS data offsets
Published Apr 16, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Qualcomm Snapdragon firmware allows local users to read protected memory or crash a trustlet via HLOS data offsets. The kmota trusted application's command path uses offsets supplied by the high-level operating system without checking that they remain within the input buffer. Access requires a local low-privileged process able to submit requests to the secure environment; malformed offsets expose memory or interrupt the trustlet without modifying data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
