Cloud privilege escalation via unrestricted master scheduling

Improper access control in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 allows remote authenticated users to obtain AWS master IAM credentials. The default scheduler permits pod creators to target master nodes, while the hostnetwork SCC lets those pods query EC2 instance metadata for the master role. Exploitation requires pod-creation, master-placement, and host-network permissions on an AWS cluster and grants management access to cloud infrastructure.
