CVE-2019-0958Network attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via unsanitized web request

Published May 16, 2019 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Elevation of privilege in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2019 and Foundation 2013 SP1 allows remote authenticated users to elevate privileges. The request-processing path does not properly sanitize a specially crafted web request, but Microsoft has not disclosed the affected handler, input field, or privileged operation. A valid SharePoint account and network access to an affected server are required; successful exploitation elevates rights within SharePoint.
