Type confusion in NanoAppFilter in Google Android 7.0 through 9 allows local users to escalate privileges in the system server. NanoAppFilter's parcel constructor reads the 64-bit mAppIdVendorMask field with readInt after writeToParcel serialized it with writeLong, shifting subsequent parcel data. Exploitation requires local code execution but no user interaction and grants privileges in the system-server process.
