Remote code execution via unchecked AVRCP attribute count

Stack buffer overflow in the Bluetooth system component in Google Android 7.0, 7.1.1, 7.1.2, 8.0, and 8.1 allows remote attackers to execute code. The handle_app_cur_val_response function trusts an AVRCP response count and copies that many attribute IDs and values into fixed-size stack arrays. A Bluetooth peer can trigger the overwrite without authentication or user interaction, gaining code execution in the Bluetooth process.
