Resource exhaustion in Google Cloud Android 6.0 through 8.1 Media framework allows attackers to stall parsing via a crafted ID3 tag. ID3.cpp's removeUnsynchronization performs repeated overlapping memory moves for inserted unsynchronization bytes, extending some parsing from milliseconds to minutes. User interaction is required to process the file; the grounded consequence is a prolonged media-processing stall without code execution or data access.
