Out-of-bounds writes in the Google Android Goodix touchscreen driver allow local users to gain elevated System privileges. The gt1x_debug_write_proc and gt1x_tool_write handlers copy attacker-controlled procfs input without the required bounds checks, permitting writes beyond the destination buffer. Reaching these local driver handlers requires System execution privileges, but exploitation needs no user interaction and can corrupt privileged kernel memory.
