Out-of-bounds writes in Android's MediaTek IMSA component allow local users to escalate privileges without user interaction. IMSA_Recv_Thread in ImsaClient.cpp and VT_IMCB_Thread in VideoTelephony.c let an integer overflow produce out-of-bounds writes. A local malicious application can trigger the flaw without additional execution privileges and gain elevated privileges on an affected device.
