Internal network disclosure via exposed error-page variable
Published Feb 27, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Information disclosure in ASUS firmware before 3.0.0.4.382.50470 and Asuswrt-Merlin before 384.4 allows remote attackers to obtain internal IP ranges. The unauthenticated error_page.htm response exposes the new_lan_ip variable, returning the LAN addressing value to a remote requester. The disclosure reveals internal addressing details but provides no reported ability to modify data or interrupt the router.
