CVE-2018-7841Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unescaped object_id backticks

Published May 22, 2019 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Command injection in Schneider Electric U.motion Builder 1.3.4 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted HTTP requests. The track_import_export.php export handler passes object_id through SQLite query construction into PHP exec, escaping dollar signs but leaving backtick command substitution executable. Exploitation requires network access to the HTTP endpoint, not authentication, and executes commands in the application's Linux appliance context.
