Classic buffer overflow in ArmCode Arm Whois 3.11 allows local users to crash the application through an oversized lookup string. The public proof of concept fills the IP address or domain field with 700 A characters, starts information retrieval, and demonstrates a process crash. Exploitation requires interactive local access to paste the string and click the retrieval control; only application unavailability is demonstrated.
