Authenticated file disclosure via unchecked backup path
Published May 30, 2026 · Updated May 30, 2026
Path traversal in DevCode OpenSTAManager 2.3 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files via a crafted file parameter. The getfile branch in modules/backup/actions.php appends the filtered file value to the backup directory and passes the resulting path to file_get_contents without rejecting traversal segments. Any authenticated application role can submit the request, exposing files readable by the web-server process without granting file modification or service interruption.
