Authenticated arbitrary file download via unsanitized id
Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026
Path traversal in Navigate CMS 2.8.5 allows remote authenticated users to download arbitrary server files through navigate_download.php. The script treats the request-supplied id as a load target and passes noninteger values to the item loader without neutralizing ../ path segments. Any user with the default User profile can retrieve readable files outside the intended download area, including configuration data.
