Authenticated stored XSS via unescaped forum replies
Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026
Stored XSS in WikidForum 2.20 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in other users' browsers through forum replies. The rpc.php endpoint accepts crafted HTML in reply_text and stores reply content that is later rendered without neutralizing executable JavaScript. A valid account with reply-posting access is required, and execution occurs only when another user views the affected reply, exposing that user's forum-origin session and actions.
