Authenticated SQL execution via injectable filter parameters
Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026
SQL injection in eXtroForms 2.1.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through administrative filter parameters. The extroformfield administrative view incorporates attacker-controlled filter_type_id, filter_pid_id, and filter_search values into SQL expressions without neutralizing SQL syntax. A valid Joomla backend session is required; boolean-, error-, or time-based requests can disclose database and server information or alter data.
