CVE-2018-25375Public exploit

Local code execution via registration-field SEH overwrite

Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in Socusoft iPod Photo Slideshow 8.05 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through registration fields. The registration dialog copies oversized Registration Name and Registration Key input into a stack buffer without adequate bounds checks, allowing the SEH chain to be overwritten. Exploitation requires local access to paste crafted text and submit the dialog; successful SEH control executes code with the application's privileges.
