CVE-2018-25365Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file read via unnormalized GET paths

Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026

Path traversal in VisionTrack VT1000 Viewing Software vt1000 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files through crafted GET paths. The HTTP request path handler accepts relative traversal sequences without normalizing the path or confining file access to its intended directory. Unauthenticated network access to the service on TCP port 8080 is sufficient, and successful requests disclose any file readable by the service process.
